Homing" Dogs of Pennsylvanians Deployed to the Horn of Africa, Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom

Your buddy will have plenty of affection, exercise and companionship. The facility is staffed 24x7x365 with medically knowledgeable caregivers. Volunteers provide daily walks and your buddy will play daily with others within the four hundred lineal feet of fenced in play area.

Living accomodations are shared "home pods" of 192 square feet for smaller guests and 384 square feet for larger guests. Each "home pod" has an individual enclosed outside run for access at their discretion. The "home pods" are furnished with carpets, couches, chairs, toys, etc. to provide as close a facsimile to home as possible.

Care of these "military buddies" is our gift to Pennsylvania personnel who are deployed overseas on active duty and who have a "buddy" needing a place to stay during their deployment.Your pet will be well cared for while awaiting your return, at no cost to you (except for extraordinary medical expenses).

Information for Non-Pennsylvania Military

While Canine Corps is available only for Pennsylvania's Military Personnel, Net Pets provides a program that connects military personnel with foster homes for their animals.

DogTags Chewy Shoe for Charity

The dogs at Canine Corps love chew toys, and we've found a toy we think they'd absolutely love to have!  The DogTags Chewy Shoe by FetchDog is made of all natural, non-toxic rubber, and is molded from the same molds used to make the soles of military boots. For every toy that is purchased, $2 will be donated to the Puppies Behind Bars' Dog Tags program, which trains inmates to raise puppies to become service dogs for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
