Rocky HAS been adopted!!
Last updated November 9, 2009"Rocky" is the "best friend" of a young Pennsylvania National Guard Soldier who recently returned from a year's tour in Iraq with the 56th Stryker Brigade. The Soldier was called up as a replacement two weeks prior to the Brigade's entry into Iraq. He had adopted "Rocky" from a county animal shelter four months prior thinking that they would be "man and dog" for quite some time. Upon his return from Iraq in September, his original unit received orders for a deployment to Afghanistan in the near future. The Soldier knows that the best for "Rocky" is a new, loving relationship with another human. As much as it hurts he is willing to surrender "Rocky" to a good home with a stable environment. "Rocky" has been a guest at Canine Corps for almost one year. You could not ask for a more loving canine. Energetic, inquisitive and extremely affectionate.
