Bo has a Home!

Bo’s E-5 owner has recently returned from OEF where he faced harm’s way as a Combat Engineer with the 10th Mountain Division.  Dan, whose home-of-record is Pittsburgh, has received orders to Ft. Jackson to attend Drill Instructor School.  Then two years on the drill field.  He has made the mature decision to place Bo in a new, loving permanent home.  He knows the rigors of the drill field will prevent him from giving Bo the attention he believes Bo deserves.

Bo came to us as a twelve month-old juvenile at eighty-one pounds.   He has grown to a little over one hundred pound young adult. Dan and Bo’s relationship is unique and is demonstrative of the good found in the hearts of our young military personnel.  Out of a litter of twelve puppies Dan took the one with the birth defect.  Bo’s umbilical cord had wrapped around his left front paw at birth and caused his paw pads to fuse together.  It affects his stride when he becomes very active.  It is not surgically repairable.

Bo is exuberant, faithful, loving, energetic, loyal and entertaining.  We have had him with us for thirteen months and love the hell out of him. Bo needs a good home.  Dan deserves to know Bo is in a good home.  They need some help getting through this forced separation. If you almost walk on water, dislike cats as much as Bo does, and can be a responsible partner for Bo we would like to hear from you.
